Well... There are only 3 months and 12 days left until mine and Jerry's wedding! I am soooo excited! We have gotten almost everything done! I think the only thing left to do is pick out tuxedos for the men! This past week I went to our coordinators house and ordered our invitations and we also discussed flowers and other decor for the reception! I can't wait for everyone to see it. I think it will be lovely!
This past Wednesday thru Friday, my younger sister, Amanda, and her fiance Trevor were in town to meet all of our family and to visit! I miss her so much! We all went to the Olive Garden to have dinner Thursday! It was a great night. Amanda and Trevor are getting married in a little over 2 months! They are getting married in Vermont! I can't wait to go there! I just wish that Jerry was able to go with me! Friday I was able to spent almost all day with my sister! I went over to my Mom's for breakfast and Amanda & Trevor made crepes! I had never had them, but they were very tasty! It immediately made me think of Talladega Nights! That night mom cooked dinner and Jerry was able to join us for dinner! It was great to have our family together again! Really makes me miss my little sis even more! We promised to get out to AZ after the wedding sometime! Probably in the winter sometime, haha... There is one great thing about Amanda moving to AZ - Tim and Jamie, Jerry's brother and sister-in-law live out there too! We mapped out there addresses and they only live around 8 miles from one another! How lucky are we!?! So, hopefully we will get out there before the end of the year! I miss Amanda already, but I will get to see her a lot this year with both of our weddings and then, hopefully, our trip to Arizona this year!
Yesterday, we went to the jeweler and bought my ring and picked out Jerry's ring. We just have to get Jerry sized to see what I need to order! Time is flying by so fast! After we went and picked out our rings, we went to eat at California Pizza Kitchen and then went to a Charlotte Checkers game! It was my first hockey game and it was soooo awesome! There were 3 fights at the game we went to! That was crazy!
I am hoping that one day we will get to see the Red Wings play the Carolina Hurricanes! I would love to see an NHL game.. I think that hockey might be my favorite sport now!
The week has come to a close and Jerry just left to go home! It makes me very sad everytime he leaves, but it makes me even more excited knowing that in just 3 short months I won't have to say goodbye again! Well, I hope everyone has a great week! Tomorrow my plan is to go to Burlington with my MOH and pick up her dress and then go pick up my ring! Can't wait to see everyone at the wedding! Have a wonderful week! I'll be posting pictures soon of this past weekend and our family get together!

Granny, Super Bowl, and Our First Anniversary!
Good Morning everyone! Just thought I would update everyone on what has been going on in our lives! Last weekend, my great grandmother passed away, and we had her funeral on Super Bowl Sunday! Granny was an awesome lady! She was the most caring and fun-loving person I have ever known! She always made me laugh! Some of my family came in from Tennessee that I hadn't seen in a while! My Uncle Kevin and Aunt Paula came over for the funeral. Even though it was in a rough time for the family, we knew Granny wouldn't have wanted us to be miserable on the day of her funeral! She was 89 years old when she passed, and had always said that she would want it to be a celebration! All my family came to my house, and we watched the Super Bowl! All the men sat in front of the TV and all the women sat in the kitchen and talked about Granny and the fun times we had with her!
I know that Jerry will never forget Jerry! The first time he met her, she was trying to marry us! We had only been dating a month or so!!! I was sooo embarassed! Jerry thought it was hilarious! The next time we saw her, we were engaged... That time, she asked Jerry why he was marrying me, and then asked him for a kiss... That was just how she was! Her mind always seemed to be right when Jerry and I would see her.. She knew Jerry, but just didn't know his name.. And when I would tell her my name, she immediately shouted my full name out!!! She had alzheimer's and she walked with a walker, and toward the end she had pneumonia and was not breathing well at all. Now, I KNOW she is in Heaven and is in her right mind and able to get around! She's up there playing the piano for all her friends! I love her very much, and I know that we all will miss her!!!
On a lighter note, I have some wonderful news!!! My sister, Kristy, will be going to the hospital on February 12!!! She is having a scheduled c-section! I will be an Aunt, again, on that day! Ava Kelly Sullivan's birthday will be that day!!! How exciting - a niece and nephew within a month of one another!

Jerry and I just celebrated our one year dating anniversary! I feel so blessed to have him and Jalen in my life!!! I can't wait until we are officially a family!

Before our first anniversary date!

Well, I hope everyone has a great day... As for the wedding stuff, I think Jerry and I will be going to pick out tux's soon.. And, we will be ordering the invitations within the next couple weeks! I can't wait for everyone to see them! They are soooo neat!
Aunt Paula, Uncle Kevin, and Mom... Not sure what they are talking about - or where my mammaw is!

Jerry and I celebrated our anniversary in style! Jerry wouldn't tell me what we were doing until that evening when he came to pick me up! We started off by going to dinner at the restaurant we went to on our first date.. It's a restaurant we found with his GPS! It's a little dive called Jack Rabbit's.. They have an awesome Turkey Wrap, but in a year they never managed to get that fruit cup.. haha - last year I tried to order the fruit cup and they said they didn't have it.. When I asked for it this year, they still didn't have it! Anyway, after dinner we went to Spirit Square in Charlotte to the McGlohan theatre to see Jon Reep! He's a comedian that is from Hickory - went to the same high school as my dad! He won the show - Last Comic Standing a couple years ago. He was also on the Dodge commercials and is known as the "Hemi" guy! He is absolutely hilarious!!! Turns out that Comedy Central was there recording, and it will be aired on TV. Also, they are going to be putting it on DVD! It should be aired in September in case you guys want to look for us! I'm just excited because when that DVD comes out Jerry and I will have an awesome keepsake from our first dating anniversary!
Before our first anniversary date!
When we got home, Jerry had given me "Journey to the Center of the Earth" on blu-ray! So, when we got home we watched it! The coolest thing about that is the fact that the DVD came with 3-D glasses!!! Best movie watching experience I have ever had at home!!!

It's SNOWING!!!
It's SNOWING here! I'm so excited.. This is mine and Jerry's first snow together! Jerry hasn't seen any snow in over 3 years. And, it's not very often that we see snow here in NC! I couldn't resist taking some pictures!

Jerry and I in the snow!
Jerry "wollering" in the snow!
Jerry's angel... lol!
I love the snow!
Isn't it beautiful?!
Jerry and I are also excited to announce that we have a nephew! Derek Alan Knight was born on January 15, 2009 @ 7:11pm. He weighed 8lb 15oz and was 22 inches long! So, congratulations to Tim and Jamie! I can't wait to meet you guys and my (soon-to-be) nephew Derek!

Merry (Late) Christmas!
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! This was the best Christmas ever for me! I was able to spend time with my family AND my NEW extended family! It makes me more excited than ever knowing that I am going to have so many more Christmases like this one!!! Although I miss all the folks that we weren't able to see, I know that one day we will be able to see them during the holidays!!!
Jerry, Jalen and I were so excited on Christmas eve when we got home that we watched part of It's a Wonderful Life and it came to be midnight, so we decided to open our gifts since we had to be up early on Christmas to eat breakfast at my mom's! I was so excited because this is the first year I had Christmas with my very own family! I really enjoyed it! It was great watching Jalen's face as he opened all his gifts! We got him a bike for Christmas, and Christmas day was perfect for riding his bike - it was warm and sunny!
A couple weeks ago, Jerry and I went on a date to Tanglewood, which is a park in Winston-Salem that has a huge Christmas Lights display! We were both very excited to go, but when we got there we had to wait about 3 hours before we saw any lights! Then when we got up to the lights my camera battery went dead! I was able to take a few pics with my cell phone! It was so beautiful, and well worth the 3 hour wait! Hope you enjoy the pics I put below! Keep in mind that it is difficult to take pictures of lights in a moving vehicle with a camera... And a lot of these were taken with a cell phone!!! They were so beautiful and HUGE!!!

Well, I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! We are looking forward to ringing in the new year! Have a blessed day! I'll get the Christmas pics up ASAP!

You can't tell, but this one was HUGE!!! Jerry's car was probably as tall as the leaf on the right!

Detroit Loses... Again.. & so did Jerry!!!
Well... Jerry and I made a bet last week that if the Lions lost today, I could buzz his hair off! I figured I had a pretty good shot considering they were 0-12, and also that they were playing the #1 team in their division - the Minnesota Vikings! Well, it was a pretty rough game! Detroit was ahead for the majority of the game, but in the end the score was 20-16 - Minnesota wins!!! I took some pictures to commemorate this occasion! They are all below! I had a great time with this... Jerry was not amused, but in the end he liked the cut I gave him (and so do I!)

Well.. I hope everyone likes Jerry's hair. It won't be like that too much longer.. I figure it will grow out pretty fast, but I'm still going to cut it! I'm going to try to do the faux hawk on him when it gets long enough! If I do a good job, we'll be able to save a pretty good bit of cash on hair cuts!!!
The final score...

My new toy! haha...
